Red Oak had a full week to let the bad taste from the Hawks first loss of the football season against South Oak Cliff fester.
They then exploded against Dallas Jefferson for a 66-0 victory this past Friday that included 534 yards of total offense with 458 of those yards coming on the ground.
Quarterback Zayid Aziz accounted for 140 rushing yards on four carries and two touchdowns. He also completed 6-of-13 passes for 51 yards.
Cameron Garrett (4-97, 2 TDs), Dee Johnson (2-67, TD), Zack Sanders (4-66, TD) and CJ Palmer (2-12, TD) also contributed to the ground attack.
As a team, the Hawks defense limited the Patriots to just 123 of total offense and 27 yards on the ground (1.1 yards-per-carry).
Red Oak (4-1, 1-1) will walk onto Billy Goodloe Stadium on Friday into a statistically even matchup against (5-0, 2-0) Dallas Kimball.
The Knights have scored a little over six points per game more than the Hawks but have allowed about three points more per contest.
Jamel McWilliams (QB) leads the Knights with 55 carries for 311 yards and four touchdowns. He has also completed 23-of-44 passes for 432 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.
Cortavious Smith has run for 310 yards on 39 carries and a team-high seven touchdowns.
For Red Oak, the two-headed rushing attack of Dee Johnson (46-387, 3TDs) and CJ Palmer (61-352, 7 TDs) has proved more than most teams can handle.
Aziz has also contributed 254 yards and four touchdowns on 35 carries.
