Former Indian quarterback Bryse Salik has begun to make his name known at the collegiate level.
The 2018 Waxahachie graduate tossed a new career-high two touchdowns Saturday against Missouri A&T, though the Southwestern Baptist University Bearcats ultimately fell to the Great Lakes Valley Conference foe, 48-23.
The 5-foot-10 true freshman finished 13-of-27 through the air for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
Salik now has four touchdowns through the air on the season on 48-of-93 passing in four games. He also has 508 passing yards and five interceptions over that span. Three of those interceptions came Saturday against Missouri S&T.
Salik and the (0-4, 0-2) Bearcats return to action at 1 p.m. Saturday against William Jewell College (MO) in Liberty, Missouri.
