Alfredo M. Livar, Sr. aka "Shorty" was born on December 10, 1927 in Runkge, Texas to Guadalupe Livar and Theresa Munoz Livar and passed away peacefully at the Ennis Care Center on, July 27, 2018. Alfredo married Guadalupe Gonzales on January 10,1953. They were happily married for 52 years.
Alfredo is survived by five sons; Longino (wife Anita), Daniel aka Danny, Alfredo aka Freddie Jr. (wife Cathy), Jose Maria aka Joe (wife Michelle), Guadalupe aka Lupe (wife Joy). Two daughters; Hermana aka Minnie Morales, Jesusa aka Susie Duarte. Step-daughter; Emma Frye (husband Phip). Dustin aka Dusty Livar, grandson who held a special place in Wello and Wella's heart having been a part in the raising of Dusty. Sister, Martina Davilla, age 95, 33 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren.
Alfredo was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe; daughter, Olga Mejia; parents, Guadalupe & Theresa Livar, and his 16 brothers and sisters.
Alfredo had a passion for being outdoors, taking care of animals, watching western movies and dancing with the love of his life Guadalupe. Watching the Texas Rangers play was his favorite sport. Alfredo never met a stranger, always seeing the good in everyone, never seeing the bad.
Visitation for immediate family only will be 9A.M. to 4P.M. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel, 800 South Kaufman in Ennis, Texas 75119. Visitation for family and friends will be 4P.M. to 8P.M. with Rosary recited at 6:30 P.M.
Visitation on Saturday from 9 A.M. to 12 Noon. Funeral Service will be at 12 Noon Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Interment will follow at 1 P.M. at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Livar, Joseph Castanuela, Matthew Livar, Joe Morales (Little), Danny Mejia, Jordan Vargas, Freddie Livar and Roger Livar.
Reception to follow at the Krajca & Livar (K&L) Farm, 2910 East Highway 34, Ennis, Texas.
