To the Editor,
On April 7, 2018, the Brilliance Advisory Committee and Navarro College Foundation celebrated the 10th year of Brilliance, our scholarship fund raising gala, at the Waxahachie Civic Center. Brilliance has provided scholarship educational opportunities to more than 1140 Ellis County students and this year more than $254,000 was raised to continue providing these opportunities.
“A Decade of Brilliance” was one to remember with entertainment from the Dallas String Quartet along with catering by The Doves Nest and cocktails by Sourced Craft Cocktails. We thank our outstanding speakers: Dr. Harold Nolte, former Navarro College Ellis County President and instrumental in the creation of the Brilliance gala and scholarships; along with Melinda Louque, 2009-10 Brilliance scholarship recipient; Lauren Windsor, 2012 Brilliance scholarship recipient and volunteer, and Mr. Mark Singleton, President of Citizens National Bank of Texas.
