Noel L.” N.L.” Dickinson, 82, of Dallas, passed away early Monday morning, March 19, 2018 in Dallas. He was born October 12, 1935 in Shelbyville, Texas to Willie and Casselle (Grubbs) Dickinson. N.L. was an alumni of Forest Ave. High School and graduated from East Texas State University with a Bachelors in Science. He got his start in the grocery business with Abe Meyer and later owned his own stores in the Fair Park area of Dallas until he moved to Red Oak where he opened stores, Tote A Way, in Ovilla, Red Oak and Rockett. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner, he was a member of the Ellis County Tax Appraisal Board and a past board president of the Red Oak ISD. N.L. was funny and caring and a talker who never met a stranger. He was quite a character. He loved flowers and was able to turn any object into a pot of flowers. He enjoyed going to the lake, fishing and politics.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jane Dickinson; two children, Del Dickinson and Donna Anthony and husband Jeff; six grandchildren, Candice Dickinson, Kindra Garcia and husband Joe, Kellyn Garcia and husband Gilbert, Kimberly Morin and husband Sid, Erin Pope and husband Andrew and Jake Anthony; nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Brennah, Noah, Lillian, Gabriel, Kaleb, Madalynn, Gracelyn and Mickael. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8PM Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery.
