Carlos Beltran saw a need in the community and left his corporate retail job to start his own small business.

Beltran, the owner of Copy and Ship Resources, opened his Waxahachie business during the holiday season and officially joined the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce with a ceremonial ribbon cutting last Wednesday, Jan. 10.

“I knew there was a lot of need in the community because I worked at a retailer that did packing and printing, and I say it was difficult to get the customers helped the way they should,” Beltran said. “It bothered me that we couldn’t get the sales help there that we needed and now I have that in my control.”

Beltran spent almost a year getting everything ready to open his business two weeks before Christmas. Having worked in copy and shipping for 11 years, he knew just what machines and supplies were necessary for the job, and was confident that his customer service know-how would ensure his business’ success once open.

“Our business is something you can find in a lot of places,” Beltran said. “But, we want to go above and beyond with every customer.“

Copy and Ship Resources, located at 507 North Highway 77, suite 920, provides all sorts of printing needs for customers ranging from business cards to large posters and everything in between. The store also dabbles in PC repair — offering virus removal services and laptop screen repair thanks to their on-staff hardware and software specialist. If you’re unable to pick up your creation during business hours, the store also offers delivery to Waxahachie and some surrounding areas.

In addition to printing services, the store sells a plethora of office supplies.

“I’m excited to form more relationships with the community, and to see what God has in store for us,” Beltran said.
