DALLAS — Two matches into the 5A volleyball playoffs and the Waxahachie Lady Indians have still yet to drop a single set.
The same can also be said for all four District 10-5A teams, as Red Oak, Lake Ridge and Midlothian have all advanced and join the Lady Indians in the Region II Quarterfinals.
Waxahachie swept Woodrow Wilson High School on Thursday at Ellis Davis Field House in Dallas, 25-16, 25-17, 25-15.
Every Lady Indian on the active roster got in on the action, too.
Audrey Nalls led the team with 15 kills and matched Essence Clerkley with three blocks. Courtney Crownover recorded seven kills on 11 swings and Lacy Mott added six.
As a team, Waxahachie finished with four service errors on 68 attempts. Taylor Stoops notched two of their four aces and also led the team with 28 assists.
Waxahachie is now 30-14 on the season after the win. The Lady Indians travel to Duncanville to face District 10-5A foe Mansfield Lake Ridge Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
The Eagles, who are 35-9 on the year, won each of the two previous meetings this season, which included a sweep of the Lady Indians in Waxahachie last month.
