Enrique “Rick” Suarez, age 68, of Red Oak, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017, in Dallas. He was born June 9, 1949, in Bishop, Texas to Justo and Margarita (Gonzalez) Suarez. Rick graduated from Sunset High School in 1969. He was employed with DFW Airport Board for 26 years. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rick loved being outdoors and landscaping his “estate.” He enjoyed exploring aviation, researching history and family genealogy. Rick loved his kids and granddaughters; he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Suarez; children, Sarah Miller and husband David, Alicia Cooksey and husband Logan and Nicholas Suarez; grandchildren, Mekenzie and Maddison Miller; brothers and sisters, Margarita Vela, her deceased husband Raul Vela, Justo and Nona Suarez, Jesse and Maria Suarez, Minnie Hernandez, deceased husband Leon Hernandez, Cathy and Joe Tobar, Sal Suarez, Al and Millie Garcia, and Ray and Lolly Tamez; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM Monday, August 7, 2017, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Memorial Mass will be 10 AM Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Maryada Reddy and all staff at the Cancer Institute of Dallas, the doctors, nurses and all providers at Methodist Charlton Medical Center and the hospice team at Harbor Hospice for the love, compassion and care provided to Rick. There is no doubt that he was given the best care possible. God bless each of you.
