WAXAHACHIE — Police are looking for information that could lead to the arrest of a suspect involved in a string of burglaries at three Waxahachie car washes in June.

As seen in surveillance footage, the suspect breaks into the businesses' vacuum coin boxes using a cutting tool.

Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff said the suspect involved in the offense is driving a green Range Rover.

“The tags you can see displayed are not issued to the Range Rover (and) it looks like he stole or acquired a license plate from another vehicle and attached it,” Woodruff said. “He appears to have used a portable power tool to cut his way into the vacuums' coin boxes.”

Woodruff added that the same suspect is believed to have committed identical offenses in Seagoville and Lewisville.

Anyone with information about this person is asked to contact Waxahachie Det. Barry Owens by phone at 469-309-4445 or by email at bowens@waxahachiepd.org.

If people have information but wish to remain anonymous, they can contact Crime Stoppers of Ellis County at 972-937-PAYS (937-7297).
