WAXAHACHIE — In a recent Rotary Club of Waxahachie meeting, Rotarian Clyde Melick had the pleasure of introducing Global High School assistant principal Jamie Mills as a special guest. Mills then had the honor of presented the Global High School Student of the Month Award for March 2017 to Jessica Dalquest.

Dalquest, the daughter of Bob and Anne Dalquest, is a freshman at Global High School and will be the third in her family to graduate from Global.

Well deserving of this award, Dalquest received the honor because of her many dedicated service hours, academic excellence and outstanding citizenship. She is consistently on the A/B honor roll and active in her community.

As a freshman, Dalquest is enjoying her first year in the Interact Club, where she spends many service hours helping her community. Her favorite service activity is Hidden Miracles. In her spare time, Dalquest enjoys sewing, playing with her dogs, reading and playing the ukulele. In the future, Dalquest hopes to become a neonatal nurse and she plans to continue her education at Baylor University.

Dalquest will have her name engraved on a plaque that will hang in the halls of Global High School for many years to come.
