RED OAK — The City of Red Oak Public Works Department has authorized the temporary closure of a portion of Red Oak Road beginning Monday, Jan. 23 to facilitate new utility construction. All westbound traffic on Red Oak Road from Hickory Creek Drive to the Red Oak Road overpass will close Monday at 8 a.m.
According to a press release issued by Red Oak Police Department, all eastbound traffic from the Red Oak Road Overpass to Hickory Creek Drive will be reduced to one lane of traffic. The closure is estimated to last approximately two weeks and will allow contractors to complete utility construction for the new Woods at Red Oak Subdivision. All westbound traffic on Red Oak Road will be rerouted to Daubitz Lane.
"The Red Oak Police Department suggests that if you have to travel in this area during that time frame, please plan accordingly," the release states. "We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience."
