Richard H. Wilt, age 84, of Palmer, passed away December 22, 2016 at his home. Richard was born October 16, 1932 in Watseka, Illinois to Harry Wilt and Beulah Street Wilt. He served in the U. S. Air Force as a pilot from 1949 to 1954 during the Korean War. He married Mildred May Stephenson on June 19, 1958. Richard retired from the Dallas Postal Credit Union also known as the Neighborhood Credit Union. He was a member of Rockett Baptist Church. Richard loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Richard is survived by daughter Margie Headrick and her husband Samuel; son Rodger Wilt and wife Jennifer; son James Wilt and daughter Pamela Myers; two sisters Marie Karo of Illinois and Shirley Jones of Florida; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred May Wilt on April 29, 2006 and three grandsons, Brad Beland, Barry Beland and Ryan Wilt.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11AM Monday, December 26, 2016 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Pastor Cory Mullins officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Headrick, Bruce Beland, Cory Headrick, Cody Headrick, Brett Wilt, Keyland Scott, Lonnie Myers III, Ross Powers, Joe Woodson III and Keland Scott.
The family would like to give their deepest appreciation to Kindred at Home Hospice for the care that they gave Richard. They would like to give a special thanks to Jennifer, Gloria, Cindy and their extended staff.
