WAXAHACHIE — Waxahachie Police Department is seeking information from the public in connection with a robbery that took place at Subway on Thursday night after officers were dispatched at 8:45 p.m. to the 100 block of Grand Ave.

“The suspect informed the employee he had a gun and said he wanted the money in the register. The suspect tried to grab money from the cash register, but the employee on duty was able to push the suspect’s hands away,” Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff said. “The suspect left the store and fled the scene in a silver car parked behind the building.”

Woodruff said the suspect is described as a white male, approximately six foot tall, 165 pounds, in his late 20’s and has a shaggy brown beard.
