WAXAHACHIE — Police are seeking help from the public for information in connection with a possible drive-by shooting that took place on Monday afternoon. Waxahachie Police Department received several calls of gunshots fired at 3:17 p.m. in the 200 block of Stephens St.

“Officers responded to find that a house in the 200 block had been hit several times by gunfire. Detectives also responded and collected evidence at the scene,” Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff said. “A witness described a white late model Chevrolet Impala that went east on Stephens and turned north of Wyatt Street.”

Woodruff said one person was inside the residence at the time of the incident, but there were no injuries reported.

Police are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Det. Casey Borders at 469-309-4441.
