OVILLA — Ovilla Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify a suspect allegedly involved in a burglary of a vehicle that took place Nov. 9 in the 100 block of Hummingbird Lane.

“Some credit cards were stolen and he was caught on surveillance using the stolen credit cards at a GameStop in Cedar Hill,” Ovilla Police Chief Brian Windham said. “We have a video of that subject. We would like to identify and find out who it is.”

Windham said the victim reported to police that more than $1,000 in charges were made.

The suspect is a black male who was wearing a blue sweatshirt. Police have identified the sweatshirt as one worn by the Gateway Charter Academy Track Team in Dallas.

Windham said they have contacted Gateway Charter Academy and they do not recognize the suspect. The design is from several years ago and Gateway also has no athletic records showing who number 18 would have been.
