According to the TxDOT release issued Thursday afternoon, there are no scheduled construction lane closures along I-35 between Austin and the Oklahoma border over the weekend. However, some exits may be closed along the route due to existing construction. The release states that drivers should pay close attention to electronic message signs directing them to the correct exits and lanes.

TxDOT also encourages drivers to stop for a break and refreshments at the Travel Information Center in Gainesville from Friday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, travelers can also stop at any of TxDOT’s Safety Rest Areas along I-35 for restrooms.
