RED OAK — Red Oak police are seeking help from the public about an aggravated robbery that happened at 11:53 p.m. on Wednesday at the Exxon Tiger Mart, located in the 100 Harris Ave, according to a Red Oak Police Department press release.
According to the store employee, a man brandished a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes, the release stated.
The man is described as black, approximately 18 to 24 years of age and weighing 150-175 pounds, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11, wearing black pants, a black zip-up jacket, a white under shirt and white athletic shoes, a short cut hairstyle with no facial hair entered the business, the release states.
The described suspect walked to the back of the store near the restrooms out of camera view for approximately one minute, the release stated. The suspect then approached the front counter from the rear of the store and confronted the store employee by brandishing a what looked to be a silver handgun and then pointed the weapon at the store clerk, the release stated.
The suspect then exited the store and fled on foot back to the southeast of the business. The suspect fled with several packages of cigarettes and currency from the cash register.
