The Waxahachie Police Department is seeking information from the public about a robbery that took place on May 2.

Police were dispatched at 10:50 p.m. to a motel in the 200 block of Interstate 35E.

Sgt. Bobby Gray said a motel guest was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint after opening the door to his room after someone knocked on the door.

“He opened the door and they helped push the door in and made their way in. They displayed a gun. One had a shotgun and one had a knife,” Gray said. “They took a wallet containing, debit cards and money. When they left there, they fled east of the location. They were last seen on foot running east.”
