Alma Ruth McElroy Wilson, 84, was born Sept. 30, 1931 in Jacksboro, Texas to the late Rodney and Sallie McElroy. She passed away April 13, 2016 in Midlothian. Alma Ruth spent most of her youth in Midlothian, graduating from the high school in the spring of 1949. In November of that year, she married Clayton (Ed) Wilson. They were married almost 67 years, living first in the country near Venus, where they started raising their two children Ruth Ann and Terry Wilson. They later moved into Midlothian where the kids attended school. For over 40 years, they lived on their farm in Venus. Alma Ruth worked as a bookkeeper and retired in 1991 from Production Credit in Waxahachie. The family worshipped at Midlothian Church of Christ. Family was always a priority to Alma Ruth. She was close to her parents and siblings. She was preceded in death by brothers, Billie, Bo and Bud McElroy and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clayton “Ed” Wilson, children, Ruth Ann Brown and husband, Corky and Terry Wilson, grandchildren, Heather Ellis and husband, Trent, Clayton Drew Wilson and wife, Jessica, Peter Brown and Sarah Tedder and husband, Wade and great-grandchildren, Ava Ellis, Weston Tedder, Avery Wilson, Eden and Micah Pitts, and sister, Virginia Owen in Arkansas. She was worthy woman who showed her love by doing and she did much for her family and friends. Her servant heart and hands will be missed by all.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Midlothian Church of Christ with services heldat 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 also at Midlothian Church of Christ.
