First United Methodist Waxahachie helped Meals-on-Wheels celebrate March for Meals, the national campaign to bring awareness to senior issues such as hunger, isolation and loss of independence, on Tuesday.

FUMC Waxahachie covered the cost of all lunches delivered to clients in the Waxahachie community today.

During the month-long March for Meals campaign, meal programs throughout the nation will work within their communities to raise much needed funds and recruit volunteers, all toward the goal of ending senior hunger and enabling a growing elderly population to live at home for as long as they can.

Sponsorships for March for Meals are still available at many levels, ranging from $200 to $5,000 with exclusive publicity opportunities for top sponsors.
