Holcim helped Meals-on-Wheels celebrate March for Meals, the national campaign to bring awareness to senior issues such as hunger, isolation and loss of independence, on Friday.
All breakfasts and lunches delivered to clients throughout Ellis County were sponsored by Holcim, a Midlothian-based cement plant.
Holcim also sponsored and provided the volunteers to deliver AniMeals to Midlothian clients with companion animals.
During the month-long March for Meals campaign, meal programs throughout the nation will work within their communities to raise much needed funds and recruit volunteers, all toward the goal of ending senior hunger and enabling a growing elderly population to live at home for as long as they can.
Sponsorships for March for Meals are still available at many levels, ranging from $200 to $5,000 with exclusive publicity opportunities for top sponsors.
