To the Editor,
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Sheriff Brown on another four years. I wish he, his jailers, dispatchers and deputies well.
I also want to thank all those who helped me and my family during this campaign. From monetary support, logistical support and most importantly, prayers support; you were truly warriors and you all will never know how truly blessed I was to have you on our team.
Thank you to all those who supported us in the ballot box. It was great to see the citizens of Ellis county get out and exercise their right to vote. We should always take advantage of this right because of the cost which has been paid by so many.
I especially want to think my mom, my dad, sisters and family members for your willingness to do whatever was needed. Reed and Mike, you two will never know how much I appreciate what you did. Thank you JG for always being positive and giving me help when I asked. Thank you Joe Langley for being my treasurer and helping spread the word.
Last I want to thank my family, BG Belle and Audrey for understanding and patience during this time. I especially want to affirm my wife Elizabeth. You were the rock for me during this storm and I will always love you.
Christ has always directed my course. I may not like it but after 43 years I have come to understand he has a plan for me, as he does everyone of us. My plan during this whole campaign was that Christ would be glorified, win or lose. This was something a well respected man, whom I admire very much told me to do before I ran.
Thank you Ellis County.
