To counter Putin’s Ukraine aggression, look to Ronald Reagan

RANCHO DEL CIELO, Calif. -- Arriving at the Reagan Ranch in California's Santa Ynez mountains is like stepping back in time to the 1980s. The 40th president's Western White House is privately owned by the Young America's Foundation, which invites high school and college students to visit and learn about the Reagan legacy. There are no exhibits or velvet ropes. Everything remains as it was when the Reagans lived here, from Nancy's handwritten instructions for operating the TV remote to the jar of "Brim" freeze-dried coffee in the kitchen.

Democrats’ abortion bill is not just radical; it’s unconstitutional

She wanted to be a nurse, but ran afoul of a Texas court

WASHINGTON -- On a recent morning in Austin, the resilient Erma Wilson, 45, dressed in her certified nursing assistant's gear, was heading for her job, which she likes. It is not, however, the job she has aspired to for 36 years, since at age 9 she decided she wanted to become a registered nurse. That dream died because of her felony conviction in Midland, Texas, where she grew up and had an astonishing encounter with the criminal justice system.

I am a supporter of Patrick Souter for Waxahachie City Council Place 2. On May 7 Pat earned a spot in a runoff against incumbent and current mayor Doug Barnes. The other Place 2 candidate, Johnny Bryant, ran a campaign he and his supporters can be proud of.
