GRAND PRAIRIE — The district championships have been recently dominated by the Waxahachie Lady Indians over the last six years, but on Thursday it was the Indian boys’ time to shine. Placing four runners in the top nine, the Indians cruised to the District 11-6A varsity boys’ cross country title at Lynn Creek Park on the banks of Joe Pool Lake.
ABILENE — The Waxahachie Lady Indians improved on Day 2 at the Glen Rose tournament held in Abilene at Diamond Golf Course. The team shot 397 the first day and came back with the 3rd best score on Day 2 with a 367.
The Waxahachie High School fall tennis team last week finished off a 19-0 sweep of Dallas Skyline to wrap up District 11-6A play and qualify for the Class 6A Region II playoffs as the No. 4 seed.
