ALLEN — With the game still in the balance last Saturday afternoon, the Waxahachie Indians came up with a huge play that helped end a couple of playoff hurdles for the Tribe.

FRISCO — The Waxahachie Runnin’ Indians are playing a high-powered schedule and are holding their own against the tough competition.

FORT WORTH — The Nelson University Lions showcased grit and their scoring prowess in an 80-73 victory over the Texas Wesleyan Rams in an electrifying Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) rivalry clash on Tuesday night at the Sid Richardson Center.

FRISCO — Playing essentially a road game in the area round of the Class 5A Division I playoffs, the Red Oak Hawks trailed by 27 points early in the third quarter, but mounted a furious comeback before running out of time in a 34-28 loss at the Ford Center at The Star on Friday night. After the Rangers (11-1) had taken a 34-7 lead, the Hawks ended the game with 21 unanswered points and had the ball with under a minute left, but were unable to move and turned it over on downs in the final seconds.

HEWITT — Last season, the Waxahachie Indians went on the road to face the Midway Panthers and had to hang on for dear life to advance with a one-point victory. This time around, the drama ended very early.
