A treatment court program for veterans may soon be coming to Ellis County after action taken by Ellis County Commissioners during the court’s Tuesday’s bi-weekly meeting. The court unanimously approved authorization for the Ellis County and District Attorney’s Office to apply for a grant with the Texas Veterans Commission for the implementation of a veterans’ treatment court program in Ellis County.
A Waxahachie girl came across a unique find Monday on her grandmother’s property in Sardis in west Waxahachie. Andi Burns, who attends Clift Elementary, was working in the garden with her grandmother when she discovered a pink grasshopper.
