The Waxahachie City Council on Tuesday approved a resolution that provides guidelines for naming city-owned facilities. This comes nearly a year after an effort was made to get facility-naming guidelines in place, though the item was never brought to the council for a vote.

The community gathered along Main Street and the downtown square in Waxahachie on Monday for the CNB of Texas parade. The parade capped off the 24th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival & Parade, which began Sunday with festivities at the Waxahachie Sports Complex.
