After a discussion on what types of restaurants would be allowed in a proposed development on Highlander Road, the Midlothian City Council approved a rezoning of a property for general professional and restaurant uses during its regular meeting last Tuesday night.

The Waxahachie City Council on Monday approved the reinstatement of project funding, which comes after the city lost more than $1 million in a fraud scheme earlier this year. The council’s approval allows the city to move $1.2 million from the its unallocated general fund reserves into its capital project funding to avoid any project delays.
