A large and enthusiastic crowd filled Jack Lummus Intermediate School on Saturday to watch many Cinderella contestants compete. The contestants were vying for the privilege of representing Ellis County at the 2016 Texas State Cinderella finals to be held in Houston in June. The winners will compete for scholarships in several different age divisions.
Newly crowned overall winners include Willow Rudd, Cinderella Tot, Trinity Kopec, Cinderella Miniature Miss, Patricia Terpstra, Cinderella Miss, Bailey Wakeland, Cinderella Teen, and Anna Guzman, Cinderlla Woman.
Overall winners in the baby divisions are Reese Elizabeth Wright, Cinderella Infant, Callista Stringer, Cinderella Baby, and Chanlee Sue Weidemann, Cinderella Tiny Tot.
The 2014-2015 reigning State Royalty attending included Gracie Ludwig, Texas State Infant, Ella Jones, Texas State Tot, Macie Krause, Texas State Miniature Miss, and Laurel Jones, Texas State Miss. International royalty attending included Brooklyn Newton, International Tiny Tot.
Beauty winners who were chosen included , Hazel Grace Lopez, Cinderella Infant; Callie Ann Wright, Cinderella Baby division; Landyn Saladino, Cinderella Tiny Tot division; Brooke Parker, Cinderella Tot division, and Shayne Schlottman, Cinderella Miniature Miss division.
Personality Winner selected was Georgia Griffith, Infant division.
Talent Winner was Maddie Lasher, Miniature Miss division.
Photogenic Winner was Baylor Rich, Infant division.
Alternate Winners included: First Alternate to Beauty: Landry Cate Ludwig, and Amari Sowers (tie), Infant division. First Alternate to Personality: Eleanor Wilhoite, Infant division.
Honor roll contestants (contestants who have won a prior preliminary pageant and are just practicing for judges’ comments) included: Kinzlie Jenkins, and Kinzlee Thomas, Cinderella Tiny Tots; Jeannette Clark, Brooklyn Newton, Adelynn Liska, Sydney Hanna, and Codie Cheek, Cinderella Tots; Hannah Alexander, Kaylie King, and Maddison McLane, Miniature Misses; Dixie Lasher, Cinderella Miss.
The beautiful floral bouquets for the winners were graciously donated by Ennis Flower and Gift Shop, owned by Doug and Shannon Hartzel.
The pageant was directed by Kelli Harvey, Texas State Director, and Mindi Greene and Shirley Knapp, Ellis County preliminary directors.
