Republican Tim Sadler has announced he will seek election as Ellis County Commissioner, Precinct 1.

“I’ve lived in Ellis County for over 30 years as well as worked for Ellis County in the road and bridge department for the past five-and-a-half years. As a single father of six beautiful children and one grandson, I will be someone who listens to your concerns with respect,” Sadler stated in a press release. “I will be a voice for the hard-working residents of our wonderful precinct. I’m a very straight forward, simple and honest person.

“I am running for commissioner because we need a hard worker and will work diligently along with my fellow commissioners to ensure that our county runs efficiently. Thank you for taking me into consideration as a viable candidate for the position,” he stated in the release.

Sadler will face Bobby Crittenden in the spring 2016 Republican primary.

Pct. 1 Commissioner Dennis Robinson announced earlier this year he would retire from office following this term.
