Led by Willis, who shot an 87 and first eagle in varsity competition, Garza, who shot a 93, and Schilling, who shot a 98, the Lady Indians golf team finished sixth out of 14 teams. The tournament held at the Champions Circle golf club in Fort Worth. The Lady Indians, who shot a team total of 387, were topped by only Coppell, Plano, Byron Nelson, Northwest, and Fort Worth Christian high schools. Johnson, Grimes and Hendrix shot a 109, 111 and 111, respectively, to round out the tournament’s scoring. The Lady Indians’ next tournament will take place at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 and Oct. 24 during the Juan Seguin Invitational at the Tangle Ridge golf course.
