Waxahachie author Elizabeth Amerine will sign copies of her new book, “Old Diaries and Daydreams” from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 18 at Half Price Books, 711 N. U.S. Highway 67 in Cedar Hill.

Dallas Cirque Theatre

The Chautauqua Preservation Society will host a high-flying show by the Dallas Cirque Theatre to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the auditorium’s restoration from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Waxahachie Civic Center.

ECCT to present ‘Annie’

Ellis County Children’s Theater will present “Annie” for the group’s summer musical. Each summer the ECCT hosts a camp to teach students acting skills in a positive environment.

Performances for “Annie” will be held at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Waxahachie High School Fine Arts Center, located at 1000 N. U.S. Highway 77.
