Connie Neal Fuller, 75, of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday evening, May 19, 2015 at Baylor Heart & Vascular Hospital, Dallas. He was born Sept. 9, 1939 in Waxahachie to Robert Neal and Mattie Jewel (Eves) Fuller. Connie graduated from Forreston High School in 1958 and received a bachelor’s degree from UTA and a master’s degree from UNT. He was a basketball coach at Forreston High School and then an Assistant Principal at DeSoto High School.
He married Billie Ann Ledbetter on May 6, 1960. Connie grew up farming with his father and then took over the family farm, where he and Billie farmed together for more than 35 years. Along with farming they always had race horses, bird dogs and did everything together. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and enjoyed taking them hunting. Connie loved to talk to anyone about anything.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jenny Fuller and his two grandchildren, Johnni and Fox Fuller , whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Neal and Mattie Jewel Fuller and his loving wife of 54 years, Billie Fuller who was the former Ellis County District Clerk for 20 years.
A visitation for family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with brother-in-law, James “Sandy” Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
