To the Editor,

For years Iíve watched Midlothian ISD as it developed into one of the finest school districts in the state. While it would be wrong to place credit in any one personís hands, I do feel that itís important to recognize individuals who have been a part of that growth. Iíve known Duke Burge for many years now and Iíve watch and listened to him as he extolled the virtues of MISD. His passion for the education of our children and his knowledge of public school finance and operations at the state and local level is far above the average trustee. He always seems to be able to balance the needs of the children with the needs of the taxpayers.

As Midlothian enters into its next phase, I feel itís prudent and wise to hold onto one of the people that have helped guide MISD for so many years. I, therefore, would ask for your support for my friend Duke Burge as he seeks re-election to Midlothian ISD Trustee Place 3.
