The Midlothian Panthers varsity baseball team jumped on Lake Highlands early and coasted to 12-2 win Saturday.

The game was decided quickly as the Midlothian Panthers varsity baseball team exerted its will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

A wild pitch and a two-run error during the first inning and an RBI single by Garrett Hofstad and an error in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Panthers.

Midlothian's Austin Frazier went three-for-four while batting at the plate, as well as scored two runs. Frazier also singled in the third and fourth inning, while doubling in the sixth inning.

Colton Moore gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work on the mound as the Panthers' pitcher.

Midlothian will see Duncanville at 7 p.m. on Friday, when the team travels to Duncanville's home field for a district match up.
