Last Wednesday and Thursday, the Lady Panthers track team competed in the District 8-6A track and field meet. Head coach Christina Gann said the team has been training furiously to achieve greatness throughout the season.

“The girls have worked so hard and compete like the champions that they are,” Gann stated. “We are so proud of all their work throughout the season and their relentlessness to be better than yesterday.”

Varsity Results:

The Midlothian Lady Panthers track team received sixth place overall in the meet.

Individual placers:

Mikalah Griffin top eight – 400M dash.

Elisa Patzig fifth place – 800M run and sixth place – 1600m.

Danielle Davidson was named District Champion in 1600m and fourth place – 3200M. Davidon will move on to the Area meet in both events.

Cheyenne Fitzgerald was named District Champion in pole vault.

Ashton Lackie second place in pole vault. Fitzgerald and Lackie will both be moving on to compete in the area meet.

Jewelia Rattanavong fifth place – 1600m run

Kristen Valdez sixth place – 1600m run fourth place – 4x100m relay sixth place place with Destiny Leatherwood, Katie Greer, Hydea Martin and Kyra Stepny.
