Christopher Scott Swearingen, 35, passed away March 19, 2015 in Clifton, Texas. He was born in Goodland, Kansas on Aug. 2, 1979. Chris was a free spirit that loved hunting and fishing. He had a love for teaching kids about wildlife and the outdoors. He was a big kid at heart.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Swearingen, of Whitney, Texas; two sons, Dakota Swearingen of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Gage Swearingen of Ferris; stepdaughter, Brittany Stahl of Whitney; stepson, Johnathon Stahl of Athens, Texas; parents, George and Dottie Swearingen of Tulsa; brother, Justin Swearingen of Tulsa; sister, Jennifer Pitts of Waxahachie; grandparents, George and Barbara Swearingen of Stephenville; three uncles, John Swearingen and wife Sally of Boerne, Texas, David Swearingen and wife Vicky of Stephenville and Roger Soellner and wife Janie of Canyon Lake, Texas; niece, Lexi Swearingen of Aubrey, Texas and numerous cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and an uncle.
A memorial will be held from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel, 511 W. Main St. in Waxahachie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
