Paramedics transported the driver of a Jeep Laredo by CareFlite helicopter to Methodist Dallas Medical Center after a single-vehicle accident.

Emergency crews responded to the 403 mile marker of southbound Interstate 35E at about 5:40 p.m. The driver's vehicle rolled, came to rest on its roof and she became trapped inside, said Cpl. Chris Dickinson with the Waxahachie Police Department.

“As far right now it appears that she was traveling northbound, came off the roadway and came off the wall, which began a rollover event,” Dickinson said. “She slid upside down. At that point she stopped. From the debris, there were several other vehicles also involved. Due to her injuries she was (airlifted).”

Waxahachie firefighters used tools to cut off the front, passenger side door and pull the driver free from her vehicle, said Don Alexander, battalion chief for Waxahachie Fire Department.
