The SAGU Lady Lions softball team took on Austin College in a double header on Thursday. The Lady Lions lost to the Roos 1-3, 1-7.
In game one, sophomore Hannah Lee pitched for SAGU. Lee had six strike-outs. AC was able to get an early lead with two runs in the third inning. SAGUís sole run came in the sixth when junior Kelsey Coburn made it home off of a hit by freshman Ciarra Dittfurth. Coburn had two hits for SAGU.
The second game didnít go quite as well for SAGU despite getting a run in the first inning. Freshman Bailey Balloun was the lead-off hitter and was able to get SAGUís one run. Austin College was able to score two runs in the first and fifth innings, and three runs in the sixth. Sophomore Ashley Abair pitched for the Lady Lions.
The Lady Lions will be in action Friday next when they travel to Shreveport, LA to take Centenary College.
