The Lady Panthers took on the L.D. Bell Lady Blue Raiders to tip off the Fort Worth Cowtown tournament on last Thursday.
Midlothian came out strong against the pressure in the first quarter and jumped out to an early 13-6 lead. Critical stops and keeping the Lady Blue Raiders off the board coupled with early foul trouble put the Lady Panthers down by seven points at the half 20-27.
The Lady Panthers put up a strong defensive front with multiple deflections in the second half. However, the Lady Blue Raiders' pressure was too much for Midlothian to overcome and the Lady Panthers leading to a final score of 52-37.
Jenna Price (No. 34) led Midlothian in scoring, followed by Ciera Cunning (No. 40) and Brittany Bailey (No. 12).
The Lady panthers fell to 5-4 on the season.
