We were privileged to have Lieutenant Commander Richard G. Crabb, Medical Service Corps, United States Navy (Ret.) come and speak for us today. Lt. Commander Crabb retired in September 2005. His wife is Jenette Boyd Crabb, also a retired Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Nurse Corps; they have 2 sons, LTJG Justin Crabb, a Navy Surface Warfare Officer and Lt. Jacob Crabb, a Navy Supply Corps Officer. Lt. Commander Crabb and his wife, Lt. Commander Jenette Crabb made their home in Waxahachie.
Upon their retirement, both Rick and Jenette became members of the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders where they spend a lot of their time honoring our fallen heroes and their families. Rick left after our meeting in fact, to go meet up with the other Patriot Guard Riders to honor a veteran and to lend support a veteran's family.
Rick serves as a Ride Captain with the PGR and attends funeral services just about every day where the PGR are invited to come and attend. Currently this year, Rick has personally served and honored 268 veterans and families.
Thank you Rick and to all the PGR members for all that you do for our veteran's and our fallen Heroes. Because of great men and women like yourself, our veteran's and fallen Heroes are never forgotten.
