Following Waxahachie’s 33-0 win ver the Red Oak Hawks on Senior Night, students, parents, fans and coaches were all invited to walk across the street for ‘Midnight Madness’, an event to get the school amped up and excited for this year’s basketball program. There was a dance routine from the cheerleaders, two different performances from the Cherokee Charmers, a scrimmage between this years women’s basketball team and their alumni, a slam dunk contest and finally to close the ceremony the men’s basketball team scrimmaged against each other.

Despite being in one of the toughest district in the state head coach of the men’s basketball team, Damien Mobley said they are pushing hard for a post season appearance.

“We’re really pushing to make the playoffs,” Mobley said. “It’s going to be tough, but I have faith, always have faith.”
