LANCASTER – We are excited to announce that the Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle has awarded the City of Lancaster a platinum designation, the newest and highest designation of transparency granted by the Comptroller’s program. The award establishes Lancaster as a government that exceeds expectations for financial transparency.
The award recognizes cities that make their financial records available to the public, provide clear information about how they spend tax dollars, and share detailed information in an easy-to-read format. The Leadership Circle program was launched in 2009 as a way to recognize Texas governments that strive to meet the highest standards for financial transparency online. “This is an honor to receive the Platinum Star Award in the first year Lancaster applies; our commitment to the tax payers is to demonstrate accountability in how we manage the City’s finances,” said Mayor Knight.
The City of Lancaster encourages residents and community members to visit the Financial Transparency page at www.lancaster-tx.com/FinancialTransparency.
