The Ellis County Republican Women will host its first After Hours Membership Mixer at the Historic Rogers Hotel, 103 E Main in Waxahachie on Tuesday, June 17 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The special guest TFRW President Jody Rushton will be there to visit with members and prospective new members.  She will present an overview on the TFRW and local club’s involvement in the organization.

Jody was born in McAllen, Texas and lived i the Rio Grande Valley throughout her high school years. She has a degree in political science from the University of Wyoming in Laramie.

Jody has been politically active since her first NFRW Convention 1982 and was employed as Western States Coordinator for the 1884 Reagan/Bush Presidential campaign. As TFRW VP Finance, Jody chaired the Tribute to Women Event in Fort Worth in 2012 and the Belles & Boots Ball 2013 in Austin.

She continues to serve as a Collin County precinct chair and as a member of the Collin County executive board. She also was elected to be a national delegate and attended the RNC 2012 National Convention In Tampa. Jody and her husband Ro have lived in Plano for the last 16 years, and have three children and five grandchildren. The public is welcome.
