Aron Lee Brock, 85, went to be with his Lord Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014. He was born on July 29, 1928 in McKinney to Marshall and Alma (Vest) Brock.
Lee married Thelma Wright on May 11, 1957. They had been married 54 years when she preceded him in death in August 2011.
Lee served his country as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 – 1954. He also served in the Army Reserves.
Lee retired from GMC Truck Center Dallas in the early '80s. After his move to Waxahachie in 1995 he and Thelma joined Farley Street Baptist Church where they were active members. He was also a frequent walker at Baylor Waxahachie and daily coffee drinker at the local Whataburger.
Lee loved being with family and friends. He is survived by daughter, Traci Lea Hamblet and husband Todd; grandchildren, Jeffrey Hamblet II and wife Lauren, Lyndi Brightwell and husband Richard; great-grandsons, Kale Hamblet, William and Ryker Brightwell.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at Waxahachie Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at DFW National Cemetery.
