Each month the Waxahachie Rotary Club acknowledges an outstanding student from Global High School for superior citizenship and scholastic accomplishments The club is pleased to present Delaney Taylor as the winner of the November “Student of the Month” award.

Global High Principal Don Snook introduced Delaney to the club in this weeks meeting as an organizer. She was described as dependable and a student who can be counted on to make sure things get organized and stay that way.

Because of her organizational skills, Delaney has made a prefect secretary for the Global Interact Club. She was instrumental in organizing the Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat campaign at Global where more than 2,000 cans of food were collected on Halloween night for the needy. In addition to that, Delaney was involved in the Salvation Army program, Angel Tree Kit Making where her team won first place for making the most kits.

Delaney also serves as the logistics officer in Robotics and is actively involved in Engineering Now and the Fellowship of Christian Students.

Delaney is quite accomplished academically, also. She has maintained an A average in all her classes while attending Global. She plans on graduating from Global with her associate degree in science.

The Waxahachie Rotary Club is proud to acknowledge this outstanding student for her hard work and scholastic accomplishments. A permanent plaque will hang in the halls of Global High School honoring Delaney and other outstanding students for their accomplishments in both learning and serving others.

Delaney shows great promise for accomplishing amazing things in her life. She is an example of the youth in our community who will become productive, prosperous leaders of our nation in years to come.
