GLENN HEIGHTS – A citywide Fall Cleanup will be held from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16 at 2118 S. Uhl Road (near the water tower) for all residential customers.
Containers will be available for city residents to dispose of household trash and debris at no charge. A secure sensitive document paper shredder and e-destruction will be on hand from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday. E-Waste collection will be available and items such as computer terminals, monitors, keyboards, etc., will be received.
Other items to be accepted include: brush, tires, lumber, junk, metal, lead acid batteries, brick, concrete and other such material. You can also bring old cellphones and old prescription glasses to be recycled. Appliances may be disposed of at this location. If you have refrigerators or air conditioning units the Freon must be removed with the appliance properly tagged by a licensed technician.
Things that cannot be disposed of include: paint, chemicals, fuel, oil, CFC light bulbs and fluorescent light tubes or any toxic or hazardous waste. No tube type televisions will be accepted.
The cleanup is for Glenn Heights’ residential residents only and you will need proof of residency with identification, preferably a driver’s license and a water bill.
