Hulen Mall is enhancing its position as Fort Worth’s prime shopping destination, with new national retailers planning 2013 openings and long-time favorite retailers debuting new concepts at the center. Kevin Davies, general manager, says that fashion favorites Francesca’s Collections and G by GUESS will open in the first quarter of 2013 with popular Teavana tea emporium debuting in May. Additionally, Express will add square footage to reflect the company’s new concept design; Victoria’s Secret will expand its current location; Earthbound Trading will relocate and create a new shopping environment; American Eagle Outfitters and The Children’s Place will remodel to better serve customers. The shopping center will also welcome Charley’s Philly Steaks in the Food Court and Red Robin Gourmet Burger in the Restaurant Plaza on the east side of the mall. “2013 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Hulen Mall. The construction is behind us and the center is in tip-top shape. Our customers will see lots of activity in the coming months with new national retailers joining our line-up. As well, several prime fashion stores have chosen Hulen Mall as the place to debut their new concepts. Fort Worth is thriving and the shopping environment here is proof of the city’s strength,” says Mr. Davies. “The Restaurant Plaza, with Abuelo’s and BJ’s Restaurant, has been a huge hit. And, the Movie Tavern’s expansion also contributes to making Hulen Mall not only a shopping destination, but a dining and entertainment venue.” Francesca’s, one of the fastest-growing women’s retailers in the country, features an eclectic, carefully chosen collection of items, taking its inspiration from travelers who search the world for luxuries and gifts for friends and family. When it opens in the coming weeks, the new 1,200-square-foot store will offer shoppers a charming, boutique-type environment, filled with collections of the latest in women's clothing, jewelry, accessories and gifts. Francesca’s will open in early February on the lower level in the Dillard’s wing. In May, Teavana will offer shoppers a unique retail experience, blending a tea bar where customers can order a variety of different teas and a retail store selling fine loose leaf tea and tea-related merchandise such as tea pots, gifts and accessories. With more than 100 varieties of tea available, the high-quality teas range in flavor from traditional estate teas to creative blends that use teas, fruits, flowers and herbs to provide the best taste. The new Teavana will be located on the upper level across from Gap. G by GUESS, a leading trend-setting fashion retailer, has begun construction of the company’s first location in Fort Worth, planning a late March opening. The design will be the retailer’s new prototype store, which features a wi-fi bar with a unique inside-out design. A global lifestyle brand, G by GUESS features fashions for the next generation of men and women, including denim, jeans, shirts, shoes, clothing and more for men, women, guys and juniors. The new G by GUESS will be located on the lower level in the Dillard’s wing. Express, a long-time favorite fashion retailer for shoppers at Hulen Mall, will debut its new concept store at the shopping center in July. The new design concept features a refined chic, with the space divided into key categories according to gender. A highlight of the concept is the Denim Lab, which showcases the retailer’s denim collection for men and women. Construction will begin in March on the new concept store, which will be located on the lower level in the Macy’s wing. To continue to serve customers, Express will move to a temporary location next to Macy’s. Express will debut its new concept store in July. In other retailer news, Victoria’s Secret will add more square footage to its location in the Macy’s wing, offering an enhanced shopping environment for women’s lingerie, intimate apparel, sleepwear and beauty products. Construction begins in March and Victoria’s Secret will serve customers in a temporary location near Macy’s during construction. American Eagle Outfitters has started a remodeling project that will better showcase its trendy collections of clothing accessories. American Eagle is open in a temporary space on the upper level next to Macy’s. Moving and improving, Bath & Body Works is updating its layout to showcase its collections of fragrance collections, including body care, anti-bacterial products, candles, gifts and more. When construction is finished in early March, the retailer will be located on the upper level near Dillard’s. A flavorful addition to Hulen Mall is Charley’s Philly Steaks, a national restaurant chain that specializes in Philly cheese steak sandwiches that are freshly prepared and grilled, plus gourmet fries and natural lemonade. Charley’s will be located in the Food Court when it opens in March. With three major department stores, more than 140 specialty retailers, The Movie Tavern and a new Restaurant Plaza featuring Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant and BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Hulen Mall is Fort Worth’s premier one-stop dining, entertainment and shopping destination.
