Luther Killian Davis, 82, of Italy passed away early Wednesday morning, Dec. 26, 2012 at his home. He was born Sept. 10, 1930 in Milford, Texas to James Martin Luther and Ammie Charles (Beam) Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service as Postmaster in Berry, Texas. Luther was a member of the masonic lodge and loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bobbie Jean Davis of Italy; two daughters, Teresa Ann Petty and husband, Buddy of Maypearl and Cherilyn Kay Davis of College Station; four grandchildren, Carrie Haralson and husband, Phil of Red Oak, Tommy Davis and fiancée, Veronica Martinez of Italy, Kelly Berman of Plano and Angelica Garza and fiancé, Matt Farrell of College Station; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Jo Davis, three brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Graveside service and interment will be at a later date.
