The city of Waxahachie Vector Control will be spraying for mosquitoes according to the following schedule:

Sept. 4 from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. within these boundaries:

• Quadrant 3: From North Interstate Highway-35E to jurisdictional city limits (including Ovilla Road), and south from South IH-35 to west city limit line east to Ferris Ave. (including Bullard Heights)

Sept. 5 from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. within these boundaries:

• Quadrant 2: North from Interstate Highway 35E and North U.S. Highway 77 junction south to include University Addition and College Hills Addition, and from Grand Avenue north to Highway 287 Bypass

Sept. 6 from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. within these boundaries:

• Quadrant 1: From North Highway 77 east to jurisdictional city limits  and from jurisdictional city limits to Highway 287 Bypass (including Spring Creek subdivision and Brookbend subdivision)

Sept. 10 from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. within these boundaries:

• Quadrant 6: From Howard Road east along West Highway 287 Business  to West Highway 287 Business and 287 Bypass junction, and south to Lake Waxahachie (including Pecan Valley, Lakeshore, Lakewood, Crystal Cove);  including all city parks, Waxahachie Hike and Bike Trail

All citizens are encouraged to stay indoors, keep pets inside, and cover birdbaths and fish ponds during the spray period.
